What Headbangear is

Headbangear is a curated, growing archive for metal lineups, studio albums, musicians, and — where available — signature gear references. Search a band to see who was in each lineup, which albums that formation recorded, and how members moved between bands over time.

A growing archive

Coverage is edited by hand and still expanding. Today's catalog is a carefully chosen subset of classic metal, thrash, and related acts — not a complete metal encyclopedia. Gaps, edge cases, and placeholder portraits exist while the archive grows.

How we organize history

Each band is presented through dated formations: members, studio albums tied to recording lineups, formation facts for context, and navigation when a musician appears in more than one band in the archive. The focus is lineup history and album context, not discography charts alone.

Selected signature gear pages for musicians from bands currently covered in Headbangear's gear catalog may also include Amazon Associates product links for curated, approved products only. Gear commerce coverage is limited to those catalog bands today — not every band in the archive.
